Faux Wood Blinds
Faux Wood Blinds give you the look of real wood blinds at a fraction of the cost. Another common name for faux wood blinds is PVC blinds. PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. Although not all faux wood blinds are polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the other is a composite which is a wood material that is printed with colored wood grain. Faux wood blinds are quite a bit heavier than wood blinds so for wider blinds it might be a good idea to splint the blind into 2 blinds (>72 inches). This will also ease the operation and the strain on the blinds.
I personally have PVC/Faux Wood Blinds in my home which they been hanging in my house for almost 20 years and they perform the same as the day I hung them. So that being said, buy quality faux wood blinds and you should have many years with them with very little care.
